Spring Term 2 – Greek Myths

This half term we will be focussing on Greek Myths. The Greek myths are among the greatest, most exciting stories ever told and feature some of the world's best loved heroes and heroines. We will look at the stories of Theseus, conqueror of the dreaded Minotaur; the mighty Heracles and his twelve tasks; Orpheus and Eurydice; Perseus, the Gorgon-slayer; the musician Arion and his rescue by the dolphins; Pandora and her little box of horrors; the feather-clad fliers Daedalus and Icarus; and the weaving contest between Arachne and the goddess Athene.

Stanley’s Stick – John Hegley

Stanley's stick is not just a stick. With a stick in hand, Stanley's options are endless - he flies to the moon, writes in the sand, goes fishing, plays a whistle and rides a dinosaur - and his imagination takes over and the magic begins.

Where will our own journey sticks take us?
